Invicta watchesThe Invicta watch company was founded in 1837. Invicta was created with the believe that precision and beautiful Swiss watches need not be over priced. This believe has held true ever since Invicta started making its first watch. This little watch company is now a a worldwide known watch maker. Invicta is Latin for "invincible" .The Invicta watch company was founded by Raphael Picard in La Chaux de-fonds Switzerland. For more then a century this little watch maker produced exceptional mechanical timepieces. Exceptional in design as well as craftsman ship. Like a lot of watch makers Invicta all but disappeared in the late 70's during the revolutionary development of cheap quartz movements. In 1991 the descendants of the original founder re established the company's founding principle to offer quality high grade Swiss watches at affordable prices. They decided to go after the market segment all the high end Swiss watch companies decided to ignore. Since its revival 13 years ago Invicta has become the fastest growing brand in the watch industry.

With the introduction of the Angel, Pro Diver and Elite lines Invicta successfully gambled with the concept of creating watches that were constructed of high quality materials like sapphire crystals combined with high grade mechanical or automatic movements. Invicta generated tremendous intrigue winning over enthusiast as well as retailers alike. The Pro Diver series achieved cult like status amongst collectors and is still one of Invicta ' s best selling lines.

As Invicta 's watch collection grew so did the company. It has now developed its on caliber which have evolved in to the technical Swiss ebauche. The company has moved its facilities to L'Abbey due to its growing demands.

In early 2000 Invicta 's non conformist attitude worked its way in to the Lupha Swiss Chronograph. The company also created a stunning 37 carat Pave Lupha with 4,600 full cut diamonds set in stainless steel four prong jewelers settings. In 2004 a limited edition Lupha in 18 karat gold. Since its success with making some higher priced watches Invicta has introduced a few more like the Ocean Ghost and NOMA. The NOMA features a genuine meteorite stone dial obtained from pieces of the Gibeon meteorite which was first reported In Africa in 1838
